BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE NEXT GENERATION OF FILM MAKERS
______________________________________________________

Greetings from Winton, Outback Australia.

The first film made in Winton was in 1904. The Salvation Army's Biorama Company shot Bushranging in North Queensland , for London and Australian audiences.

This is simply a letter to let you know WINTON, Qld is open for business to film makers - amateur, educational and commercial.

We are a friendly western Queensland town well used to the needs of film makers, with both the Winton Shire Council and townspeople well "on side" - and experienced. We have had films like THE PROPOSITION, MYSTERY ROAD and THE TREE  made to a small or large degree in Winton. The townspeople love to be extras, and to provide all sorts of props and locations.

We can advise on accommodation, set locations - whatever your needs.

Our website gives more details of past and future films, as well as facilities in the area.

Don't hesitate to contact us for more details.
